DAY 1: Arrive in Auckland. Fly to Waiheke Island.
You will arrive in Auckland Airport and clear customs early this morning. After you have completed the immigration formalities a representative of Australia 2000 Travel will meet you to deliver your additional New Zealand travel documents and help you transfer to the helipad in time to board your chartered helicopter flight to Waiheke Island. When you arrive on Waiheke Island you will be transferred to your luxury accommodation. During your 2 nights stay on Waiheke Island you will be accommodated at a seaside island retreat designed to capture the nautical heritage of New Zealand. Overlooking Little Oneroa and the Hauraki Gulf your boutique hotel offers true luxury accommodation in a relaxed island setting. With the finest attention to detail a space has been created that captures the essence of island life in New Zealand for the most discerning traveler.
DAY 2: Full day private touring on Waiheke Island. B
Considered by many to be the most magical part of Auckland, Waiheke beautiful beaches and native forest reserves harmonize delightfully with the cafes, vineyards and art studios. How you spend your time on Waiheke Island depends on your interests. Almost anything is possible from horse riding and farm tours to sea kayaking and mountain biking. Your private tour guide will construct your day of sight seeing on Waiheke Island according to your personal desires (lunch will be at your own expense).
DAY 3: Fly to Taupo. B D
Following breakfast at The Boatshed you will be transferred to Waiheke Helipad in time to board your onward flight to Auckland. When you arrive in Auckland you will board your onward flight to Taupo. During your 2 nights stay in Taupo you will be accommodated at a luxury lakeside accommodation located on the northern shores of spectacular Lake Taupo, within the exclusive Whakamoenga Point Estate. The villa offers a luxurious haven, combining award winning architecture and elegent interior design, and feature breathtaking views of native forest and the beautiful blue-green waters of Lake Taupo.
DAY 4: Private Touring in Taupo.
Following breakfast this morning your driver/guide will meet you at your accommodation to escort you on a full day tour of Taupo, an area many consider to have some of the most spectacular scenery and excitement New Zealand has to offer. Your day will be catered to meet your interests. Lake Taupo is New Zealand’s largest lake, formed by a volcanic eruption 2,000 years ago. It is a place of magnificent beauty with crystal clear waters fed by mountain streams, home to some of the most sought after rainbow trout. The historic Huka falls that spurt spectacular cascades of turquoise colored water are considered a highlight of the area. Tongariro National Park, the fourth national park established in the world, boasts three active volcanic mountains Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe, and Tongariro located in the center of the park and whose summits are considered sacred to the Maori people.
DAY 5: Private transfer to Napier. D
After a relaxing breakfast this morning your private driver will meet you at your accommodation to transfer you to Napier, the art deco center of New Zealand. Your driver will take you across the Rangitaiki Plains, over the windy hills to Te Pohue and onto your lodge accommodation. DAY 6: Private Touring in Hawkes Bay. B D
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the solarium with your hosts you will have the remainder of the day to explore Hastings, Hawkes Bay and the Napier region with your driver/guide. Hawkes Bay holds a long and distinguished heritage in producing some of New Zealands finest foods. Many local artisans have carved a unique niche with their specialized food businesses. Your day can easily be spent exploring the local wineries, cafes and food markets sampling an array of award winning wines, gourmet meats, cheeses, game and seafood, olive products and coffees. Just as the climate has attracted epicureans to Hawkes Bay it has also drawn artisans who have opened galleries and home studios for the travelers delight. As you explore the area you are likely to meet practicing artists and experience the individual character of their creative environment. There will be time to explore the art deco city of Napier.
DAY 7: Private transfer to Palliser Bay. B D
As you transfer to your luxurious lodge located in Palliser Bay you will have the opportunity to visit wineries, olive groves and the galleries of charming small towns. Your lodge accommodation recaptures the gracious lifestyle of a bygone era. The pebbledash and shingle-roofed lodge, reminiscent of an Edwardian country mansion, owes much to the influence and style of the 19th century English architects Lutyens and Voysey. Included in your stay are pre-dinner cocktails, dinner and breakfast.
DAY 8: At leisure in Palliser Bay. B D

DAY 9: Transfer to Wellington. B
After a relaxing breakfast with your fellow guests you will join your driver/guide on the short journey to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. Perched on the edge of a spectacular Harbour and surrounded by imposing hills, Wellington is a stunning and vibrant city. Home to national museum Te Papa and New Zealand’s Parliament, Wellington offers heritage and cultural attractions with events and festivals all year round. The compact layout of the city means you can enjoy quality shopping, sample wine and food at a vast array of cafes and restaurants and still have the energy to experience the city’s nightlife. During your 2 nights stay in Wellington you will be accommodated at a luxurious B&B located on the water front at Oriental Bay and an easy walk to Te Papa museum, and the restaurants and cafes of the downtown.
DAY 10: Private Walking Tour of Wellington. Private visit to a Maori Marae. B
Your specialist guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel this morning to escort you on a private walking gourmet tour of Wellington, New Zealands cafe capital. During your tour your guide will introduce Wellingtons lively food scene and show you her favorite food places. Your morning will start with great coffee and treats at a boutique coffee roaster. You will relish the best food stores where local foodies and chefs shop. As you explore top food spots your guide will share her stories, recommend her favorite spots and join you in a taste or two along the way. You will be indulged in a tasting lunch at an award-winning restaurant, where the owners and/or chefs will introduce their food and regional wine to match.
Following lunch you will join a private tour to an acclaimed Maori Art & Cultural Center where you will visit a Maori meeting place and participate in a traditional Maori welcome, experience Maori culture and have the chance to meet artists creating in bone, stone, timber & fiber. You will hear the haunting sounds of Maori musical instruments and discover a Maori art tradition that spans three centuries and five generations of the Hetet Whanau, a local family of well-known artists. DAY 11: Fly to Nelson. B D
You will fly to Nelson this afternoon and transfer to your luxury accommodation. Surrounded by three national parks Nelson lies in the heart of the rich wine-growing area of the Marlborough Sounds. Its ideal climate and wealth of fresh produce has attracted all manner of artisans who have opened a wide variety of galleries and restaurants that contribute to the charm of this scenic region. During your 4 nights stay in Nelson you will be accommodated at a gracious home accommodation, located at the top of the Nelson/Tasman Bay region, situated on 48 acres of private grounds.
DAY 12 Helicopter flight over Abel Tasman National Park. B L D
A glorious day comprised of walking or sea kayaking (if you would rather) awaits you on the calm waters of the Abel Tasman National Park. The adventure begins when you take a helicopter flight into the Abel Tasman National Park to join your guide to hike or kayak. After lunch at Awaroa Lodge your day continues with a helicopter flight along the coastline to Farewell Spit, the most northerly part of the South Island. During this remarkable day you will fly over stunning country side to reach the spit where you will see many different birds as well as fur seals swimming in the water or sunning themselves on the beach. You will see and learn about the actions of the wind that have caused the huge sand dunes to develop. You will fly to an historic homestead to join a Kiwi family for afternoon tea before returning to Nelson at dusk.
DAY 13: At leisure in Nelson. B D
You have the day at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the lodge that has won many national and international awards for excellence. You might enjoy taking a spa treatment, joining a cooking class, spending the day fly-fishing or simply relaxing and taking walks through the undulating countryside.
DAY 14: Private Touring in Nelson. B D
You will join your private tour guide to explore this scenic area, known as the City of Wearable Art. There are many wineries, fine restaurants, craft, and glass blowing and potters galleries to discover within the Nelson Region. The day will be designed to encompass your interests. Lovers of fashion might include a visit to WOW Museum where garments from the historic World of Wearable Arts garment collection are showcased surrounded by extreme lighting, sound, movement and theatre to create a unique, fun filled gallery experience. Classic car lovers might wish to include a visit to The Collectable Car gallery that features an array of beautifully restored classic cars that are displayed with a similar sense of humor and creativity as used in the WOW gallery. Hoglund Art Glass, an international glass center is a MUST. Glass lovers are able to observe the skilful glass artists at work in the glassblowing and engraving studios. The glass studio also has a breathtaking range of contemporary jewelry on display.
DAY 15: Fly to Queenstown. B
You will be transferred to Nelson Airport in time to board your onward flight Queenstown. When you arrive in Queenstown you will be transferred to your luxury boutique hotel. During your 3 nights stay in Queenstown you will be accommodated at, a luxury boutique hotel where five opulent suites invite guests to soak up a sense of quiet before exploring one of the worlds most remarkable locations. With stunning lake and mountain views the historic building is in the premium lakefront position at the heart of the cafe and restaurant precinct.
DAY 16: Helicopter flight over Milford Sound. Jetboat ride on Dart River. B
What a day of thrills awaits you. At 10:00 AM you will take an amazingly fast ride on a Shotover Jet along the canyon. Once your heart has begun to beat again you will board your helicopter flight that will take you gliding past mountains as the helicopter winds its way through the Southern Alps on an unforgettable flight to Milford Sound. You will land at several LOTR location sites that are inaccessible by road to stroll and absorb the natural beauty of Fiordland. Your flight will sweep the full length of the fiord until you reach the rugged West Coast where you will have the opportunity to view seals in their natural colonies. You will experience a glacier landing before touching down on a secret wilderness site for some Over The Top hospitality including champagne, and a cheese platter.
DAY 17: Half day sightseeing in Queenstown. B
Today your guide will meet you and take you on a half day tour of Queenstown. Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu at the foot of The Remarkables range, Queenstown, is a year-round alpine resort where you can be wildly active or simply relax and unwind. The town is compact enough to get around on foot, and with courtesy vehicles, buses or taxis available to take you to outlying attractions. With more than 100 restaurants, plenty of entertainment, and some of the finest New Zealand shopping, Queenstown is a world-class holiday destination.
DAY 18: Fly to Auckland. B
Time to farewell the southern part of New Zealand. After breakfast at your resort you will be transferred to Queenstown Airport in time to board your onward flight to Auckland. When you arrive in Auckland Airport your private driver/guide will meet you to escort you on a private tour of the city enroute to your luxury accommodation. During your over night stay in Auckland you will be accommodated in a luxury apartment hotel, 2005 Winner of Best New Small Hotel in the World by Harpers Hideaway Report. DAY 19: Depart New Zealand. B
Today is your final day in The Land of the Long White Cloud. Your day is at leisure until you are transferred to Auckland Airport.
