DAY 1: Arrive in Sydney. Sunset Bridgeclimb.
You will arrive in Sydney early this morning and clear customs. After you have completed the Australia immigration formalities a representative of Australia 2000 Travel will meet you to deliver your additional Australia travel documents and assist with the transfer to your hotel located in the heart of Sydneys business district just moments away from The Queen Victoria Building, Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge where you will spend your first three days & nights in Australia.

Greet Sydney in unique style this evening. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is classified as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and is yours to climb to the very top with your specialist guide. Not only is the view breathtaking you will encounter one of Sydneys historic gems and an engineering wonder.

DAY 2: Sailing on Sydney Harbour. L
Today you will discover beautiful Sydney Harbour during a 5-hour cruise on board a 40 foot beneteau sailboat. You will see the beautiful homes lining its foreshore and explore some of the picturesque coves. As the skipper, Colin, always has fishing tackle fins, masks and snorkels aboard you may wish to try your hand at catching a Sydney fish or swimming like a fish in Sydney Harbour. At about 3.00 PM you will return to Darling Harbour where you might enjoy stopping at one of the wide variety of restaurants and cafes, the Sydney Aquarium, The Powerhouse or Maritime Museums The Japanese Gardens, Chinatown or the IMAX Cinema before returning to your hotel.

DAY 3: Full Day Tour to The Blue Mountains. B L
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel for a full day tour to the Blue Mountains. Today you will visit a wildlife park, remote mountaintop lookouts, spectacular wilderness and wildlife together with the well-known local attractions, The Three sisters, Jamieson Valley and the Scenic Railway. A country style lunch will be enjoyed at a magnificent Australian homestead. You will be able to walk off lunch with a bushwalk through the picturesque creeks and gorges.

DAY 4: Fly to Adelaide.
You will transfer to Sydney Airport in time to board your onward flight to Adelaide. When you arrive in Adelaide Airport you will transfer to your accommodation. During your overnight stay in Adelaide you will be accommodated at a boutique hotel in the heart of Adelaide that offers the perfect blend of classical style and contemporary luxury. The hotel has a stunning Art Nouveau ambience and features beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, luxurious amenities and exquisite cuisine. You have the remainder of the day at leisure to discover Adelaide, The City of The Arts. Consult the Australia 2000 Travel especially compiled “Places to See” guide as a means to discovering this charming city.

DAY 5-7: 3 Day Outback Adventure. B L
You will also join a small 3-day tour for your introduction to the Australian Outback in South Australias Southern Flinders Ranges. You will travel to a timeless land that reveals the geological secrets of the last two billion years on Earth by luxury 4X4 vehicle There you will experience the vastness, the rugged harshness of the Australian Outback with plenty of time to hike the granite gorges. On your return journey to Adelaide you will travel through the wine growing valleys as you return to your original Adelaide accommodation. The meals included during your 3 day outback adventure are lunch the first day, breakfast and lunch the second and third days.

DAYS 8-9: 2 Day Tour on Kangaroo Island. L D
You will fly to Kangaroo Island, one of the worlds few remaining unspoiled natural wonders. Where observing the wildlife of the island it is like stepping back in time with nature. There you will see the Australian bushland exactly as the early explorers would have done! During your 2 day/1 night tour with your special guide and a maximum of 6 passengers you will get off the beaten track to stalk the wildlife in their native habitats. You will experience the joy of discovering some secret locations as you walk along deserted beaches to discover the natural beauty & serenity of his unique island…far from the rush of the tourist trails. During your visit to Kangaroo Island you will walk among the island sea lions on Seal Beach and your guide will take you to see koalas and kangaroos in the wild on this beautiful island. Your accommodation on Kangaroo Island is on a sheep farm. At night you will be able to join a tour to watch our nocturnal creatures grazing and to see the little blue penguins return to their burrows at dusk. On the conculsion of your second day of touring day you will be transferred to Kingscote Airport in time to board your return flight to Adelaide. Once you have collected your stored luggage you will be transferred to your Adelaide accommodation. All meals will be served during your adventure on KI from lunch on the first day through lunch on the second day.

DAY 10: Fly to Darwin.
Transfer to Adelaide Airport in time to board your onward flight to Darwin. When you arrive in Darwin Airport you will be transferred to your accommodation. This afternoon your guide will meet you at your hotel to escort you on a half day minibus tour of Darwin city.

Please note: Tomorrow you will be embarking on a 3 day outback safari where personal luggage is limited to an overnight bag and a daypack. You’ll be able to store your excess luggage at your hotel until your return.

Darwin, the gateway to Australia’s “Top End” is a relaxed and visitor friendly city with a variety of attractions to be found in and around the central business district. Perhaps visit the Botanic Gardens, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory where Aboriginal art and natural science can be studied; or explore historic walking trails, the Survivor’s Lookout and World War II tunnel at the Wharf Precinct. There are also many galleries and specialty stores to browse.

DAY 11: Day 1 of your Top End Splendor Safari. L D
You’ll join your specialist guide and depart Darwin on your 3 day /2 night tour to discover the beautiful perennial waterfalls and cultural landscape Kakadu National Park.

Kakadu National Park, a unique archaeological and ethnological reserve, located in the Northern Territory the region has been inhabited continuously for more than 40,000 years. The cave paintings, rock carvings and archaeological sites present a record of the skillsand lifestyles of the region’s inhabitants that stretches from the hunters and gatherers of prehistoric times to the current Aboriginal population. It is a unique example of a complex of ecosystems, including those of tidal flats, floodplains, lowlands and plateau, providing habitat for a wide range of rare or endemic species of plants and animals.

You’ll travel to Kakadu National Park explore Ubirr Rock and climb through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries to a lookout to enjoy the famous view over the wetlands. You’ll vist the Bowali Center and visit the Nourlangie rock art site. Your tour will conclude today at your safari camp situated on the banks of the Djarradjin Billabong. This evening you’ll learn more about local aboriginal people and their country and take a cruise in the darkness in search of crocodiles and birdlife. You’ll enjoy dinner around the camp, under the stars.

DAY 12: Day 2 Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls. B L D
After an early breakfast you’ll depart on a full day tour to Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls located in a remote area of the park and only accessible by four wheel drive vehicle. You’ll wonder at the incredible natural beauty of the area as you take a short boat ride through a sandstone gorge to Twin Falls. After a picnic lunch on the banks of the river, you’ll take a ½ mile hike through the rainforest to Jim Jim Falls and its crystal clear waters. You’ll return to camp for dinner by the campfire.

Note: Please be advised that the waterfalls are rainwater fed and after several months without rain (around August and September) it’s possible that the falls may not be flowing. The rock pools and magnificent surrounding area make the journey well worthwhile.

DAY 13: Day 3 of your Kakadu Safari. Return to Darwin. B L

You will transfer to Darwin Airport this morning to board your onward flight to Cairns. When you arrive in Cairns Airport you will be met and transferred to your accommodation in Palm Cove, a luxurious boutique hotel that has been designed to capture the romance of the tropics and the splendor of a bygone era. You have the remainder of the day at leisure to relax and enjoy the tropical beauty.

DAY 15: At Leisure in Palm Cove.
You have the day at leisure in Palm Cove, relax and take pleasure in this tropical seaside town. Perhaps wander to one of the many cafes, order a cocktail and take the time to appreciate your surroundings. You may need to pinch yourself as you stare out to the beautiful beach and azure Coral Sea. There are a wide variety of activities you might enjoy today. You could enjoy going sea kayaking, white water rafting, game fishing, hot air ballooning, walking, visiting Kuranda, taking the Skyrail over the rainforest, visiting the Tjabukai Aboriginal Center, visiting the local Outback … or best of all simply relaxing and enjoying the heat and tranquility of the tropics.

Note: We suggest you pack a small soft sided bag or backpack this evening in readiness for your 5 day wilderness adventure where there will be limited luggage space. You will be able to store the remainder of your luggage at your hotel until you return.

DAY 16: Fly to Cape York to commence your 5 day Wilderness Adventure. L D
You will make your own way to Cairns Domestic Airport in time to board your onward flight to Bamaga, Cape York. When you arrive in Cape York you will be met by your Wilderness Challenge guide who will escort you on a 5 day small group wilderness adventure. During your day you’ll visit the north’s remote communities to stock up on supplies. You’ll enjoy a fascinating visit to an isolated pocket of monsoon rainforest the beautiful, “Lockerbie Scrub” and take an emotional walk to the very top of Australia – CAPE YORK.

During your overnight stay in Cape York you will be accommodated at a beachfront campsite on the tropical shores of Torres Strait.

DAY 17: Day 2 of your Wilderness Adventure B L D
Your journey continues as you cross the Jardine River and travel through Cape York’s wilderness. This afternoon you’ll create a lifelong memory as you are enchanted by the magic of Twin Falls where you’ll swim in pristine spring-fed pools landscaped by nature.

During your overnight stay in you will be accommodated at a campsite in the company of the millions of stars that compile the Milky Way.

DAY 18: Day 3 of your Wilderness Adventure. B L
This morning you’ll enjoy the fun of a 4X4 adventure on Cape York’s rugged Telegraph Track that will take you across rivers and creeks to see prehistoric palms, giant termite mounds and carnivorous plants. Your journey continues this afternoon as you cross the Wenlock River at historic Moreton Telegraph Office.

During your overnight stay you will be accommodated at the Archer River Roadhouse campsite. Dinner is at your own expense this evening.

Australia’s Cape York Peninsula contains some of the last remaining wilderness areas on Earth. Relax in cool waterfalls, see prehistoric rainforest, and explore ancient Aboriginal rock arts sites and giant termite mounds. You will be traveling through some of the most remote terrain Australia has to offer.

DAY 19: Day 4 of your Wilderness Adventure. B L D

Your tour continues south to Coen and on to the historic telegraph station of Musgrave. This afternoon you’ll explore Queensland’s second largest national park, Lakefield National Park that provides great wildlife spotting opportunities within its at 1.25 million acres. This evening you’ll be able to enjoy the peace of the remote outback location as you relax around the campfire.

During your overnight stay you will be accommodated at the campsite in Lakefield National Park.

DAY 20: Day 5 of your Wilderness Adventure. Return to Cairns. B
This morning you’ll rise to the dawn chorus of birdsong in Lakefield. After a hearty breakfast your tour will take you to “Quinkan Country” where you’ll view an outback landscape of termite mounds and cattle stations. You’ll climb the sandstone escarpment at Split Rock to view thirteen thousand year old Aboriginal rock art that depicts the local community’s traditional activities and culture. Your fascinating adventure of discovery and fun in Australia’s far north will continue east via the Palmer River, site of one of Australia’s greatest gold rushes. You’ll cross the Great Dividing Range before heading south along the scenic coastal highway to your accommodation in Palm Cove.

During your 3 nights stay in Palm Cove you will be accommodated at a boutique hotel that has been designed to capture the romance of the tropics and the splendor of a bygone era. The lush gardens feature two swimming pools shaded by lush ferns, towering palms and rambling bougainvillea. Enjoy an afternoon complimentary fruit punch at the Brigadier’s Bar. This is the only ‘honor’ bar in Australia, just help yourself to a drink and chat with the other guests relaxing by the bar.

DAY 21: White Water Rafting on the Barron River.
You have the morning at leisure. This afternoon you will be met at your accommodation by your guide and drive 20 minutes south of Cairns where you will experience whitewater rafting down the Barron River with “Raging Thunder”. Wear sneakers or reef sandals for this trip for the extra grip in the raft. Once at the Barron River, you will be given safety instructions, life jacket, helmet and spray jacket. Then on to the river to enjoy the thrill of the grade 2-3 rapids.

DAY 22: Day at Leisure.
You have the day at leisure in Palm Cove to relax and take in your surroundings. Indulge yourself at Australia’s award winning spa located in the tropical gardens of your accommodation. From the “Spa Menu” you may choose to select a massage, exfoliation, body wrap or one of the other irresistible indulgences. DAY 23: Full Day Upolu Cruise. L
Today board one of Australia’s premier sailing vessels for a cruise to Australia’s magnificent marine park, The Great Barrier Reef, for diving, snorkeling and sailing. Capture the spirit of the Great Barrier Reef from your spacious catamaran as you explore the multi colored fish and coral species at Oyster Reef and Upolu Reef. Submerge yourself with an introductory dive or slip on your mask and fins and snorkel from above. During your explorations you are likely to see a Moray eel, giant clams, turtles or perhaps a reef shark.

Lamington National Park includes a series of densely forested valleys and ranges rising to more than 3,600 feet at the Queensland-New South Wales border. The park has the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world, most of the world’s warm temperate rainforest and nearly all of the Antarctic beech cool temperate rainforest.

DAY 24: Fly to Brisbane. Transfer to your Rainforest Retreat.
You will bid Tropical North Queensland adieu as you transfer to Cairns Airport in time to board your onward flight to Brisbane. When you arrive in Brisbane you will transfer to your rainforest retreat, located in the heart of Lamington National Park, Australia’s largest strand of sub-tropical rainforest and one of Australia’s bio-diverse hot spots, for the final days of your adventure. DAY 25: At Leisure in Lamington National Park. B L D
You have the day at leisure to enjoy the natural beauty of Lamington National Park. Here on the mist-covered mountains in the Gold Coast Hinterland you will discover the majestic rainforest, the beautiful sub-tropical flora and the friendly and inquisitive birds and animals. More than 100 miles of walking tracks lead through the park. Walks that will take you beside gurgling streams to cascades and waterfalls, through wind eroded caves in volcanic cliffs, down to fern-filled gullies or too high lookouts with breathtaking views.

DAY 26: At Leisure in Lamington National Park. B L D
Enjoy your final day in the national park. You might enjoy taking the Tree Top Walk on a suspension bridge 45 ft from the ground. As you walk above the treetops you will see flowering and fruiting trees and vines, along with the birds and animals that inhabit the treetops. It is a wonderful means of observing the rainforest canopy at close range.

DAY 27: Transfer to Brisbane. B
Say goodbye to your rainforest retreat today as you are transferred to your accommodation located in the heart of Brisbane.

DAY 28: Depart Australia.
Say farewell to Australia today. Our representative will meet and transfer you to Brisbane Airport in time to board your flight to your next adventure.
