DAY 1: Arrive in Sydney
You will arrive in Sydney early this morning and clear customs. After you have completed the immigration formalities a representative of Australia 2000 Travel will meet you and accompany you as you transfer to your hotel in downtown Sydney via chauffeur driven car. While traveling to your hotel our agent will deliver your additional Australia travel documents and answer any questions you might have relating to the adventure awaiting you. Your hotel room will be pre-booked to permit immediate access on your early morning arrival. The remainder of the day is yours to discover Sydney at leisure.

During your 2 nights stay in Sydney you will be accommodated at a luxurious suite hotel located at Circular Quay overlooking Sydney Harbour and within walking distance of Sydney Opera House, The Botanic Gardens and the historic Rocks Village. Each suite comprises a spacious sitting room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen & laundry and windows that open. Your hotel room will be pre-booked to ensure immediate access on your early morning arrival.

DAY 2: Full day Sydney Secrets Tour L
Your specialist guide, Suzanne Akerman, will meet you at your hotel this morning for a delightful day discovering the ‘Secrets of Sydney’ and its best sights. You will enjoy an exclusive inside look at this cosmopolitan city with its impressive harbor foreshores, glamorous homes and coastlines dotted with jagged sandstone cliffs and golden beaches. Discover the beauty of the Australian bush in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park overlooking the shimmering waters of Broken Bay with its ancient Aboriginal sites and engraved rock art, topped off with a relaxing gourmet luncheon on the water’s edge. You’ll be privy to a rare glimpse of Sydney, far off the tourist tracks, with secrets even the locals don’t know.

Note: To customize your day we furnish Suzanne with a list of your personal interests ahead of time. Whether those interests lie in fine food & wine, the art world, history, architecture, music, antiques, sport or sightseeing Suzanne will be able to introduce you to some of her friends whose interests are similar to yours. You could meet Jones the Grocer, visit the famous Sydney Fish Markets, or visit Suzanne’s friends at their art galleries. You may wish to include a stroll along the cliff tops between well-known Bondi Beach and the more exclusive Tamarama Beach. Suzanne will be certain that you return to your hotel with plenty of time to prepare for any evening activity.


Perth is both the most isolated city in the world and Australia’s sunniest capital, 300 days of sun a year! Located on the meandering Swan River, the city’s heart, and a popular place of relaxation for locals. There are beautiful beaches surrounding this city, including the well known Cottesloe Beach. Public transport makes it very easy to visit surrounding areas such as Fremantle or South Perth.


DAY 3: Fly to Perth
You will be transferred to Sydney Airport in time to board your onward flight to Perth. When you arrive in Perth Airport you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel.

During your 2 nights stay in Perth you will be accommodated at one of the small luxury hotels of the world, in leafy West Perth, within easy walking distance of Kings Park and Government House. Breakfast, hors d’oeuvres (the first drink is on the house) and Internet access are included in the tariff.

DAY 4: At Leisure in Perth B
You have the day at leisure to explore Perth. We suggest you spend time strolling in the magnificent King’s Park. Known as the jewel in the city’s crown it is one of the largest inner city parks in the world. The stunning location overlooks the city and the silken blue waters of the Swan River. The park features both cultivated gardens and untamed bushland. During spring Kings Park plays host to the Wildflower Festival with a dazzling profusion of the breathtaking beauty of Western Australia’s native wildflowers.

Note: We suggest you pack a soft sided bag this evening in preparation for your six day safari of the South West. You’ll be able to leave your excess luggage at your hotel until your return.

DAYS 5-9: Six day safari on the South West Corner B
You’ll join your private tour guide on a six day safari of the glorious South West Corner of Western Australia. Your knowledgeable guide will construct the tour to suit your particular interests. During the tour you are likely visit the Dolphin Discovery Center in Bunbury that offers people the chance to interact with wild dolphins.

You could visit Margaret River that portrays a feeling of being worlds away from the hustle and bustle of modern day stress. Its Mediterranean climate and beautiful local beaches attracts wine buffs and surfers alike. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the township with its myriad galleries, arts and crafts shop.

If wineries are not your thing you might enjoy visiting Surfers Point for its beautiful ocean views or perhaps visit Busselton to take a stroll along the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.

Enroute to Pemberton you could stop to explore Mammoth Cave, an awe inspiring ancient limestone cave that acts as a natural time capsule and home to ancient fossil remains of extinct animals.

You could stop for lunch or afternoon tea at a local lavender and berry farm where along with the lavender & berries you’ll see blue wrens and wildlife, be able to enjoy locally caught trout, delicious berry pancakes and ice cream, hot muffins and berry jam. Of greatest intrigue is Bob Perkins, the owner. Do be certain to engage him in conversation over coffee.

You’ll have time to explore the Gloucester National Park where you’ll be able to see the Gloucester Tree, WA’s most famous kauri tree that towers above the forest surrounding Pemberton. In the past foresters maintained a regular fire lookout from the tree’s lofty crown but today visitors climb to the cabin in its upper branches for sensational views 200’ above the ground.

Your tour is likely to take you to Denmark via Walpole a scenic area famous for its beautiful beaches, national parks and forests of kauri trees, giant hardwoods similar to the redwoods of California, rolling green hills and the beautiful William Bay National Park. It’s likely that you’ll stop along the way to take the Valley of the Giants and Tree Top Walk where you’ll be able to take a bird’s eye view of the towering tingle forest, native to this area, from a spectacular bridge through the forest canopy. This half mile long tree top walk gently rises into the tree tops 120’ above the forest floor.

The last destination on your private tour is likely to be in Albany. Once a whaling township the area renowned for its dramatic granite coastline, its magnificent scenery and pristine white sand beaches that surround it. You might stop at Albany’s Whale World to relive the horror of the whaling industry of days gone by.

DAY 10: Return to Perth
Your return journey to your hotel in Perth will be via the inland road.

DAY 11: Fly to Broome B
You will be transferred to Perth Airport in time to board your onward flight to Broome. When you arrive in Broome you will be met and transferred to your hotel accommodation.

AH BROOME!! It simply oozes with color. Right at the Indian Ocean and at the gateway to Australia’s last frontier of pristine wilderness – The Kimberley. From its rough and tumble, romantic pearling history to the cosmopolitan character of Chinatown, the turquoise waters, red sandstone cliffs and the endless expanse of white sand at Cable Beach…the colors and moods of Broome will capture your soul as they did mine. You’ll never want to leave.

Your entire itinerary will have been based upon a magical phenomenon that occurs in Broome at full moon. As the full moon rises in Broome its light reflects off exposed mudflats to create a gorgeous optical illusion known as Staircase to the Moon. This evening as you dine alfresco at a restaurant in Roebuck Bay you’ll join the mere handful of people on this planet who will ever experience this natural phenomenon made all the more haunting when aboriginal men play didgeridoos. Don’t forget your camera. (Dinner will be at own expense.)

During your overnight stay in Broome you’ll be accommodated at a luxury accommodation just yards away from Cable Beach, set on 26 acres of tropical landscaped gardens and just 10 minutes from Broome your accommodation captures the elegance of a bygone era reflecting the style of Broome’s original pearling masters.

DAY 12: Half Day City Sights Tour of Broome. Board True North this late afternoon. D
Join your local guide, Scott Robertson, as he takes you to discover this beautiful town called Broome. During your half-day tour you’ll circumnavigate the Broome Peninsula and see the wide expanses of one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Cable Beach. You’ll visit spectacular Gantheaume Point where you’ll see ancient fossilized dinosaur footprints and learn the romantic story associated with Anastasia’s Pool. As you relive the rich pearling history and multicultural heritage you’ll learn the sad history behind the Japanese Cemetery. You’ll visit an historic pearling home and art gallery, historic Chinatown and antiquated Sun Pictures. At the end of the tour you’ll feel as though you have met a few of Broome’s local characters and gained an understanding of the magic of irresistible Broome.

This afternoon you’ll be transferred to the wharf to board the exquisite True North for a spectacular 13 day cruise in to discover the breathtaking Kimberley.

DAYS 13-25: True North Cruise
During your 13 day cruise you will sail from Broome to Kununurra. You’ll sail past Cockatoo Island, take a helicopter ride over the Horizontal Falls, and have the chance to fish for our succulent game fish, barramundi. You’ll have the rare opportunity to see aboriginal Wandjina rock paintings at Raft Point, to see the unique eco system of the Montgomery Reef. You’ll cruise past pearl farms, walk amongst settlement ruins on Entrance Island, sail under Kings Cascades falls, take a helicopter flight for a remote picnic beside a crystal clear billabong. There will be a chance to take a helicopter flight for a champagne sunrise on the top of a mountain followed by a hike through the local area.. You’ll see the Regent Falls, the Mitchell Falls and King George Falls. You’ll have the opportunity to see the Bradshaws, possibly the oldest rock art known to man.

DAY 26: Cruise ends in Wyndham B
Your cruise will end in Wyndham this morning. You’ll board a bus to travel for two hours to the remote township of Kununurra, gateway to Lake Argyle and the Bungle Bungles.

***Optional tour – You might enjoy spending a couple of nights on a luxury million acre cattle ranch when you leave your cruise.

DAY 27: Full day tour to the Bungle Bungles L
You will spend a breathtaking day today flying via light aircraft over Lake Kununurra and Lake Argyle, the Argyle Diamond Mine and the Ord River Scheme en route to Purnululu National Park. After landing at Bellburn Airfield you will join your specialist guide on a 4X4 tour through the massif and hike through Cathedral Gorge and along Picaninny Creek where you will take a spectacular flight in a mustering you are certain to marvel at the age, texture and sheer size of the ancient rock formations. You will return to your hotel via light aircraft this afternoon.

Note: You will be able to visit the breath taking Bungle Bungles form either Kununurra or the cattle ranch.

DAY 28: Fly to Darwin
You’ll be transferred to Kununurra Airport in time to board your onward flight to Darwin. When you arrive in Darwin you’ll be transferred to your accommodation.

Darwin, the gateway to Australia’s “Top End” is a relaxed and visitor friendly city with a variety of attractions to be found in and around the central business district. Perhaps visit the Botanic Gardens, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory where Aboriginal art and natural science can be studied; or explore historic walking trails, the Survivor’s Lookout and World War II tunnel at the Wharf Precinct. There are also many galleries and specialty stores to browse.

On Thursday and Sunday evenings during the dry season we recommend your visiting Mindil Beach Markets where you’ll find many stalls selling fo od, crafts, clothes, toys, uniquely Territorian items and more, free entertainment, music performances.

During your overnight stay in Darwin you will be accommodated in a one bedroom apartment at a superior hotel situated on The Esplanade overlooking Darwin Harbour and the Arafura Sea. Your hotel has a restaurant & bar, outdoor swimming pool and spa. Your apartment has a large private balcony that’s perfect for experiencing a famous Northern Territory sunset.

DAY 29: Depart Australia
Say farewell to Australia today. Our representative will meet and transfer you Brisbane Airport in time to board your flight to your next adventure. You will return to your home having experienced the kind hospitality of the Aussies and the most amazing adventure where you will have explored the usual and the unusual from extreme perspectives. You will have seen the sights, found time to share a yarn with the locals and perhaps somewhere along the way made a new mate.
