How We Work

Our independent price package includes charges for research, itinerary planning and preparation, currency transfer, booking procedures and the service of tour operators associated with Australia 2000 Travel in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

  • Your trip will be designed to suit your special interests, needs and budget. To begin creating your itinerary we prefer to chat face to face or by the phone on our toll free number. If email suits you better we are happy to work with you that way.
  • Every part of you itinerary is pre-booked and pre-paid. This includes airline tickets, accommodations, tours, transfers, entry fees, rental cars, and theatre performances.
  • A Commitment To Go of $250.00 per person is payable at the time we begin working for you. This is not a fee. It is attributed as a payment to the land portion of your trip when you make your booking. If you decide not to make your booking through Australia 2000 Travel or Australia New Zealand Down Under Travel, this money is non-refundable.
  • A deposit of 20% is due at the time of making the booking.
  • Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
  • Your final documentation will include a bound booklet containing a detailed itinerary telling you what you will need to take on any specific day tour, flight itinerary, travel tips on how to travel with greatest comforts on long flights, information relating to electrical currents, clothing sizes, etc; suggestions for places to see during days at leisure, restaurants, pubs, etc, vouchers to present to the person who meets you when you arrive in each country, and a list of hotel phone numbers to leave with your friends and family.
  • There will be someone waiting to welcome you when you arrive in each country. When you meet this person you will receive additional travel documentation including a brief itinerary, vouchers, maps & brochures.
  • You will be transferred between airports and hotels via chauffeur driven cars. This means that you will not have to carry your luggage, worry about arriving on time for planes or look for cabs.
  • You will be picked up at your hotel for any day trip included in you itinerary.
  • Day tours are on small group basis (2-12 passengers usually) conducted by hand picked guides.
  • No big buses and no having to have your luggage outside your rooms at 6:00 AM.
  • We are happy to make restaurant suggestions and reservations if you so desire.
  • We provide you with plenty of ideas for places to visit on any days leisure.
  • We have agents who represent us in each country in the South Pacific. These people are just a phone call away should you need any help. E.G. If you happened to lose your passport, or if you were booked on a weather dependent day tour and the tour was cancelled due to inclement whether you would simply call our agent who would re-schedule your tour. To my mind this person acts as my eyes and ears and as your guardian angel. You might never need to call, but then again if you did I am confident that your concern will be addressed in a kind, timely and professional manner any problem will be resolved.
  • When traveling in this manner you will feel as though you are traveling independently but with a vast, invisible safety net surrounding you. Because we take care of all the details all you will need to do is show up and be prepared to have a wonderful adventure.
  • We regret that a breakdown of individual charges cannot be given.
