AH BROOME!! It simply oozes with color...
Right at the Indian Ocean and at the gateway to Australia?s last frontier of pristine wilderness – The Kimberley. From its rough and tumble, romantic pearling history to the cosmopolitan character of Chinatown, to the turquoise waters, red sandstone cliffs and the endless expanse of white sand at Cable Beach?the colors and moods of Broome will capture your soul as they did mine. You?ll never want to leave.
Join our award winning specialist tour guide, Neville, for an experience you will never forget. To Neville, a local Aboriginal man who has lived in the Kimberley and has traditional ties through family connections throughout the region, Aboriginal culture and society are his life. He holds a wealth of knowledge of the region, including the history, topography, flora and fauna and first-hand knowledge of the rich and varied Indigenous cultures of the area. Neville?s passion for his culture, friendly disposition and considerate nature ensure a truly enjoyable Kimberley experience.
The climax of your tour will occur as the full moon rises in Broome its light reflects off exposed mudflats to create a gorgeous optical illusion known as Staircase to the Moon. This magical phenomenon occurs in Broome at full moon and can only be viewed between March and October when the conditions are just right.
This experience is truly as remarkable as it sounds. Thank you, Leslie & Hank Edelman, for sharing your tour highlights and photo with us.
